This is my personal blog focused on my “blank by blank” lists. In 2009, encouraged by my younger bro, Alex, I created a list of 30 things I wanted to do by the time I turned 30. I’ve since created a 35 by 35 and 40 by 40 with plans to add another list each five years. The lists and my progress are posted here.
The process and approach has been valuable and insightful. I decided to, finally, make the lists public because of a conversation I had with my friend Pat. We were on a long road trip with plenty of time to catch up. We had talked about the lists before. He was intrigued then and brought it up while we were driving. By chance, I had the lists with me. Pat seeing them sparked some storytelling, encouragement, and discussion about some of the things I had not yet accomplished. He then volunteered lots of his knowledge and insights which helped me make significant progress on lots of exercise related goals. So here we are. Thanks, Pat. And thanks, Alex.
One day, I might add a blog to share some tips, things I’ve learned, or random thoughts. It’s just the lists for now.
